Blissing out

I mean those very rare moments when suddenly a calm and peace wash over you and you feel totally, totally at one with the universe.

I enjoyed a minute or so of it this morning sitting on the patio alone.

Man is merged with the Supreme, sunken into it, one with it. Centre coincides with centre.
~ Plotinus, Enneads, 6, 9, 10 (3rd century)

It is eternity now. I am in the midst of it. It is about me in the sunshine; I am in it, as the butterfly floats in the light-laden air. Nothing has to come: it is now. Now is eternity; now is the immortal life.
~ Richard Jefferies, The Story of my Heart (1883)
